The talent of Thomas Gainsborough, one of the most famous English painters of the 18-th century discover in an unusual way. As a boy he lived in the country and once, while walking near his father’s house, he see a thief climb over the wall of a neighbour’s garden. He looked at a man, went back home and drew a picture. It bring to the police by his father. The likeness was so good that quite soon the thief catch. The family of Thomas was poor, but after that case it decide to send him to London to study painting. An amazing thing that in the 19 th century the picture of Gainsborough “The pear thief” steal from the National gallery and never find.
