по английскому языку
для учащихся младших классов
"Merry Christmas!"
Merry Christmas!
Цели внеклассного мероприятия:
образовательные: формирование и развитие социокультурной компетенции учащихся через знакомство с культурой и традициями страны изучаемого языка, уважительного отношения к культуре, традициям и обычаям народов других стран;
развивающие: развитие учебно-коммуникативных умений, расширение лексического запаса, развитие навыков групповой деятельности, развитие творческих способностей учащихся через игровую деятельность,
развитие и поддержание интереса к изучению иностранного языка;
воспитательные: воспитывать уважительное отношение к культуре, традициям и обычаям народов других стран.
Участники: учащиеся старших классов в ролях Santa Claus, Master of Ceremony 1, Master of Ceremony 2
Master of Ceremony1: Christmas is here!
The day is so clear,
The snow is so white,
The sky is so bright.
We shout with all might
Merry Christmas!
– Hello, my friends! We are going to celebrate Christmas today.
Master of Ceremony2: Santa Claus is on his way
He is coming on his sleigh
Jingle bells are ringing
Santa Claus is singing
– Santa Claus, where are you? We are waiting for you. Let’s sing a song for Santa
Claus

Dashing through the snow,
In a one-horse open sleigh,
Over the fields we go,
Laughing all the way.
Bells on bob-tails ring,
Making spirits bright,
What fun it is to ride
And sing a sleighing song tonight.

A day or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright, was seated by my side;
The horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot;
He got into a drifted bank and we got upsot
Chorus.
Santa Claus: – Hello, my friends!
I am Santa Claus!
I am very old.
My land is very, very cold.
In my sleigh with two reindeer
I bring presents every year.
Santa Claus: Do you want to get some presents? Then show me how talented you are. Can you recite poems? Let’s have a contest.
Pupil 1: Christmas Day, happy day!
We are glad and very gay
We can dance and sing and say:
“Welcome, welcome, Christmas Day!”
Pupil 2: The joyous bells are ringing
The Christmas season’s here
It’s time to wish you happiness
That lasts throughout the year.
Pupil 3: It is winter, it is cold.
Father Frost is very old.
But he is always full of joy,
And glad to give me a nice toy.
Pupil 4: December is the best of all,
Snow-flakes dance, snow-flakes fall.
People see the New Year in,
When December ends, it will begin.
Pupil 5: On Christmas Day
We ` ll have a tree
And it will snow
For you and me.
Santa Claus: - Yes, I see that you know a lot of poems. You deserved presents. ( Gives sweets)
But I want to see who is the best. My first task is making words about winter and winter activities. The first four pupils will receive some sweet presents.
( The words are on the blackboard)

(Santa gives sweets for the correct answers)
Santa Claus: You worked hard. And now let’s have a rest and play snowballs. The best team will get presents.
( Masters of ceremony organize pupils into two teams, they take turns to throw the snowballs into the basket. The team with more snowballs in their baskets receives sweets)
Santa Claus: Yesterday I received a very strange letter, I can’t read it. Can you help me to read this letter? The first pupil will get a prize.

Santa Claus: Thank you and some sweets for you. ( gives sweets)
Master of Ceremony1: It was really a hard task, Santa. Let’s play now. Children, do you like making a snowman? Let’s put on a bucket on our snowman but with your eyes closed!
Master of Ceremony 2: I know you have prepared some greeting cards. Now you can read your cards and give them to Santa Claus
(Pupils read their greeting cards and give them to Santa Claus)
Santa Claus:
– Merry Christmas to you, dear children! Merry Christmas to everybody!
Masters of Ceremony:– Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Now let’s sing a Christmas song together!
